LENT services and activities - 2008

Lent will soon be upon us and below are the details of services and other activities which will take us up to Holy Week.

Lent starts with Ash Wednesday on February 6th.

Sunday Evening Services (5.00pm) at All Saints during Lent
Feb 10th Lent 1 Night Prayer and Stations of the Cross
Feb 17th Lent 2 Night Prayer and Stations of the Cross
Feb 24th Lent 3 Churches Together in Poplar Service at St Mary and St Joseph Church, Upper North St.
March 2nd Mothering Sunday Night Prayer and Stations of the Cross
March 9th Lent 5 Night Prayer and Stations of the Cross
March 16th Palm Sunday Night Prayer and Stations of the Cross

There will be a special series of sermons during the regular Sunday morning Mass at 10am at All Saints and 11.00 am at St Nicks. These will be repeated on the Wednesday evening mass at All Saints starting at 7.00pm.

NOTE that Confirmation classes begin on Ash Wednesday at All Saints on Wednesdays (before the evening service, at 6pm for children and young people, and at 6.30pm for adults) and Sundays after mass. They will also occur on Wednesdays at St Nicks at 7pm.
