Within the Parish of Poplar there are currently 3 stipendary clergy and three SSMs - (Self Supporting Ministers. )
The Rector is the Revd. Preb. Alan Wynne. He came to Poplar in 1994 from an incumbency at the parish of St. Anne with St. Columba, Hoxton. His previous ministries include chaplaincies at Liddon House (Grosvenor Chapel) and Archbishop Tenison’s School, Kennington.
He was the Area Dean of Tower Hamlets from 2001-2006.
Revd.Jane Hodges, who was ordained Deacon at St. Paul's Cathedral on June 27th 2009, joined us as the new curate on Sunday June 28th. She was "priested" in May 2010.
In September 2011 she was licensed and installed as the team vicar at St Nick's.
Revd. Sandra McCalla is our new curate - welcomed to All Saints on 1st July 2012 having been ordained deacon at St. Paul's Cathedral the previous day.
Revd. Tom Duncan was ordained in 1997 following a period serving here as a Reader. He was confirmed as a young man at All Saints and has been coming here, on and off, ever since. He has now retired from being the editor of the Newham Recorder, but he remains a journalist and writes a weekly column. He has been awarded the Freedom of the Borough of Newham.
Revd. Tom Slater was ordained in 1967 at
Liverpool Cathedral. After a spell as a priest and then some time in secular employment he became a chaplain at the Royal London Hospital for 10 years up to 1989.
His last job was as the Volunteer Coordinator at
Guy's and St. Thomas's Hospitals.
Revd. Jenny Sheldon was ordained at St Paul's Cathedral in 2002 following a BA and MA degree from King's College, London, and training at the North Thames Ministerial Training Course. In addition to her work within the Church she is a spiritual director and full-time Grandmother.
